Gary Sinsabaugh, Carlos M Lorenzo Obituary, Barton, Tioga County – Five individuals have been identified as the victims of a tragic collision that occurred on Friday afternoon on state Route 34 in the Town of Barton, Tioga County. Among the victims, three hailed from the Bronx, while one was from Pennsylvania and another from New Jersey.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Lorenzo was driving northbound in a Toyota Highlander when she crossed into the southbound lane, colliding head-on with Sinsabaugh’s Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
Sinsabaugh, as noted in his obituary, was a native of Waverly and a 1974 graduate of Waverly High School. He was a passionate racing enthusiast who built his own car to compete at Chemung Speedrome and frequently traveled to various tracks to support his favorite driver, George Kent. His obituary highlights his role as a devoted uncle, spending quality time with his grandchildren through babysitting, engaging in projects, and enjoying games at the racetrack.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established for Surita, aiming to raise $10,000 to assist with funeral expenses and related matters. The organizer, Erica Freeman, described Surita as a “cherished daughter, sister, aunt.”
