Kale Mueller Obituary, Stewardson IL – With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Kale Ervin Mueller, a young man whose energy and laughter filled every room he entered. Kale, the beloved son of Ervin A. Mueller II and Brooke (Johnson) Mueller, left this world much too soon on December 18, 2024, at the age of 11, surrounded by the love of his family at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. His life, though brief, was marked by a zest for life and a joy that few could match.
Born on May 10, 2013, in Effingham, Illinois, Kale was a light in his family’s life. He was the cherished brother to Tanner Price and Kierra Mueller, and his laughter could always be heard echoing through the house. Kale’s love for family was immense, and his bond with his grandparents, Ron and Duckie Johnson, was especially strong. They instilled in him the values of kindness, humor, and generosity, which he carried with him every day. His niece, Adelyn Price, along with his uncles, Craig Johnson, Drew Johnson, and John (Erin) Mueller, as well as several cousins, all knew that spending time with Kale was never dull, always filled with laughter and adventure.
Kale was a student at Stewardson-Strasburg School, where he was known for his infectious enthusiasm and ability to light up any room. A member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham, Kale embodied the joy of faith and reminded those around him that life could be both meaningful and fun. His smile and sense of humor brightened the spirits of his classmates, teachers, and fellow parishioners. He had the unique gift of making even the most mundane moments into something memorable and special. Kale’s family, friends, schoolmates, church community, and all who knew him feel the deep void left by his passing.
In addition to his love of family, Kale was passionate about sports. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and when he wasn’t watching the game, you could find him playing baseball or basketball with boundless energy. His love for the outdoors was equally strong; Kale enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting, where his adventurous spirit shone through. Whether he was camping, riding four-wheelers, or building intricate Lego creations, Kale approached life with a creative flair and a sense of adventure that was contagious to all who joined him.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Stew-Stras Junior High Gymnasium.
