It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Claire Goodwin, who unexpectedly died at the age of 21 on December 17, 2024, at the age of 21, leaving behind a grieving family, heartbroken friends, and a community deeply shaken by the loss of such a promising young woman.
Claire is survived by her parents, Stephen and Elizabeth Goodwin, and her younger brother, Michael, who will forever cherish the memory of a loving daughter and sister who brought joy and light into their lives. The Goodwin family, though heartbroken, is deeply grateful for the time they had with Claire and for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this unimaginably difficult time.
At the time of her passing, Claire was a junior at Florida State University, pursuing a degree in environmental science. Her passion for environmental preservation and sustainability was evident in her academic pursuits and her involvement in several student organizations. As an active member of the Environmental Club and the campus chapter of the Sierra Club, Claire worked tirelessly to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices. Her professors and peers admired her dedication, leadership, and unwavering belief that she could make a difference in the world.
Academically, Claire excelled in her studies, driven by a love for learning and a deep sense of responsibility to contribute to the betterment of the planet.
