Waterloo EMS –  Advanced Care Paramedic and Training Specialist Dean Wick, Dean was more than just a skilled paramedic; has died, he was a mentor and a leader within the EMS community, Region of Waterloo EMS community is in mourning

“Dean was more than a paramedic; he was a mentor, a leader, and a friend to so many of us,” said a spokesperson for the Region of Waterloo EMS. “His contributions to our service and the community will never be forgotten. This is a tremendous loss for everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.”

“It’s with heavy heart that we announce that a beloved mentor, leader, and a friend, respected Advanced Care Paramedic and Training Specialist, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of both his colleagues and the countless patients he helped throughout his career. His passing has sent shockwaves through the region, as those who worked alongside him struggle to come to terms with the profound loss of a beloved friend and professional.

Throughout his career, Dean Wick embodied the values of compassion, professionalism, and dedication. As an Advanced Care Paramedic, he was renowned for his ability to provide the highest level of care to patients facing life-threatening emergencies.
